FAQs
What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?
A couple weeks before: Start moisturizing the area to be tattooed once or twice a day.
The day/night before: Stop moisturizing. Drink lots of water, eat well, and get a good sleep.
The morning of: Have a meal before your appointment, bring a water bottle, and some snacks. Don’t worry about shaving before, I will take care of it.
Is a consultation necessary to book an appointment?
I only recommend consults for clients who are unsure about their idea or need some extra guidance. Most of the time, filling out the booking questions and/or discussing via email is sufficient. If you are looking for a tattoo or scar coverup, a consultation may be required.
Do you accept new clients?
Yes! Please feel free to book using the website options or send me an email directly at cambria.tattoo@gmail.com.
Do you accept walk-ins?
No, but I can take last minute appointments if they come up. Usually, these will be posted on Instagram @cambria.tattoo.
I woke up sick, should I still get tattooed?
No. If you end up sick before your appointment, please email me right away to reschedule. You will not lose your deposit. Tattoos put the body under a lot of stress, and you may have adverse or difficult healing if your immune system isn’t functioning at 100%, plus it’s not worth potentially spreading the sickness to others.
I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment. How can I do this?
If you booked through the website, you can directly edit your appointment up to 48 hours before for tattoos, and up to 12 hours before for consults. If you need to cancel/reschedule with less than the required notice, please send me an email.
Can I use numbing cream for my tattoo?
Yes, but I will only tattoo on skin that has been numbed with Armorcaine (by ArmorClad Labs), unless we have previously discussed another option for you. Please let me know in advance if you intend to numb your skin.
Are touch-ups free?
Yes, for a year following your initial appointment. Otherwise, the regular hourly rate applies.
Can I bring a friend with me to my appointment?
Yes, but as I am operating out of a small, private space, only 1 extra person can be brought for your appointment. If more people arrive, I will have to ask the additional people to leave as I simply do not have the room.
Can I get tattooed while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No, you cannot get tattooed while pregnant, and I do not recommend getting tattooed while breastfeeding. Please consult with your doctor first if you are considering it.
